In our experience of using a variety of letting agents over the years, we realise that most (not all) are in the letting agent business primarily for the financial rewards that it brings and their customers (us landlords) are usually left feeling disappointed with their level of service and aggrieved that we (landlords) do not receive value for money.

The first point of potential tenant contact these days is usually an email enquiry. This establishes what kind of property the tenant is looking for and their budget. The next step is a telephone conversation. During this stage, the experienced landlord or agent assesses the potential tenant and decides whether to progress to the next level - a viewing. Happy Landlords will always pass on the cream of enquiries, thus reducing unnecessary and time consuming viewings. Remember, the key to a successful, trouble free let, is a good tenant that can provide references, are in employment and are credit worthy.
